TVC had a great time working on this brand new project from the mind behind The Mighty Boosh. Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy is a glorious, psychedelic foray into a world of strange characters including The Audience, who processes mashed potato through his body into shapes, and the blue-skinned country and western singer Diamond Back, who hails from Putney and has a thousand eyes. Tune in this Thursday, 26th Jan, at 10pm on E4 for a visual feast guaranteed to keep the Great Grey Beast of February at bay.
Happy New Year! Coming in June: ‘EFFIE’, a new screenplay written by and starring Emma Thompson
TVC are very excited to be working on this project, which recently went into offline editing and is scheduled for release in June this year. Emma Thompson’s screenplay explores the relationship between Victorian art critic John Ruskin and his wife, Effie Gray. The pair married when Effie was a teenager but the marriage was annulled, unconsummated, five years later provoking enormous social scandal. Effie went on to marry the pre-Raphaelite painter John Millais, but the Ruskin relationship and the exact reasons for its failure remain something of a mystery. Thompson also joins the stellar cast on screen, which includes Derek Jacobi, Robbie Coltrane, Russell Tovey and Dakota Fanning in the title role.
